Mr Bao opened in 2016, in a tiny site just off Peckham Rye. We were lucky from day one to have an amazing team and very supportive customers and our popularity grew and grew! We took the time over lockdown (when we weren’t bagging up hundreds of delivery orders a day) to knock through into the space next door and double the size of Mr Bao in to the restaurant you see today.

Our team is now made up of 20 floor staff and 12 in the kitchen, serving around 1400 people a week. We're open 7 days a week, serving up a menu of Taiwanese-inspired small plates, fluffy bao, cocktails, rotating specials and a weekend brunch menu.
